Make a Pink Jelly Nail Polish with Dazzling Flakes – From Scratch

With the spring sunshine making an appearance it is time to get your toes out and paint them pretty!

Make this pink jelly beauty with extra sparkle to make you fingers and toes stand out.

This recipe will make 2 bottles of 11ml nail polish

You will need the following –

Ingredients and Tools

– Brilliant White Liquid Pigment

– Brilliant Red Liquid Pigment

– High Gloss Pearl Base

– Aztec Gold Flakes

– Shiraz Red Flakes

– Optional – 2 x 10 ml mixing pots (any small solvent resistant pots). These are to place a small amount of liquid pigment into to make drawing up with your syringes easier.

– 1 x 50 ml mixing pot (any large solvent resistant pot)

– Solvent resistant mixing spoon

– 0.05 ml measuring scoop

– Empty nail polish bottle

– 2 x 1ml prepped syringe (make sure that your syringes are prepped to prolong their use – click here for more information)

– 1 x 10ml prepped syringe

STEP 1

Measure 24ml of High Gloss Pearl Base, with your 10ml syringe into your large mixing pot. You will need to refill the syringe to get to 24ml.

STEP 2

Measure 0.1ml of Brilliant Red liquid pigment and 0.2ml of White liquid pigment into the same cup.

STEP 3

Stir thoroughly and make sure that you mix in any excess liquid pigment stuck to the sides of your cup.

STEP 4

Measure 2 x 0.05 scoops of Shiraz Red flakes and 3 x 0.05 scoops of Aztec Gold flakes into your pink nail polish. Stir them in gently with your mixing spoon.
