Our oxide and ultramarine pigments are matte, earthy and versatile and perfect for soap making, paint making, mineral makeup projects, especially foundation, blusher and colour correctors.

Iron oxide, chromium oxide and titanium oxides simply put are oxidised metals or the equivalent of rust. Be assured that these pigments are cosmetically safe as they are made artificially in labs.Ultramarine blue was originally made from ground up lapis lazuli that was mined in Afghanistan.

Now ultra-marines are also made in labs to ensure purity and other colours such as pink and violet are now available.Oxides and ultra-marines generally are earthier colours they are especially great for making natural looking soaps including cold processed soap and more natural looking mineral makeup. Black iron oxide is fantastic for producing a deep and intense black in cold process soap and titanium dioxide is essential for a bright white opaque appearance in cosmetics
