Blue Mica Powder

Blue mica powder is commonly used in cosmetics such as eyeshadows, blushes, lipsticks, and nail polishes to provide a shimmery, metallic blue color.

It can also be used in bath and body products like soap and lotion for a subtle blue colour and added sparkle. Blue mica powder is often used in mineral makeup products as well.

To make blue mica powder pigments such ultramarine blue or phthalocyanine blue are added to the micronised mica rock. The pigments can be added in small amounts to create multiple blue shades.

Nowadays these blues are synthetically produced and are often used in makeup to neutralise and even out skin tone making it appear more even and balanced

Also in the past soap manufacturers often prefered making blue soap as it emphasised the whiteness and therefore cleanliness of the finished washed clothes.
