Cool Blue Linear Holographic Nail Polish Recipe
To create Cool Blue Holographic linear nail polish you will need the following
- 1 x mixing cup
- 1 x solvent resistant mixing spoon
- High Gloss Pearl Suspension Base
- Blue Velvet Mica powder
- Pour some suspension base into your mixing cup just above the 10ml mark or to approximately 12ml
Tip : You need a little bit of extra base because when you pour out your finished nail polish some will stick to the sides of the cup.
2. Pour some suspension base into the mixing cup just above the 10ml mark.
3. Take your 0.5ml scoop and measure out 1.5 x scoops of blue velvet mica and add it to the cup.
4. Mix thoroughly with a solvent resistant mixing spoon.
5. Pour into your nail polish bottle and add 2 x steel mixing balls.
Top Tip! – While mica is a great pigment with lots of versatility too much can be a problem. If you add too much mica it can reduce the adhesive properties of your nail polish. This can lead to reduced durability making your nail polish crack and flake off the nail easily. Not good. Ideally you want to keep your dry pigments (in this case mica) to no more than 12-15% of your total formula.
